Until now, Indonesia is known to have 243 units of first quality warships. As a maritime country with a very long coastline, Indonesia is indeed more focused on warships because various problems often occur in Indonesian waters.

It turns out that Indonesia's focus on increasing warships has actually made the Indonesian Navy soar to number 4 in the world.

Even so, the site said that this assessment is not only based on warship ownership, but quality in general.

"A force is not only judged by the total number of warships and submarines, but rather the general quality and mix of its inventory. In addition, there is also a focus on local shipbuilding capabilities, inventory balance (general mix of unit types), and naval experience," WDMMW explained.

Another aspect assessed in determining the world's strongest navy is based on the overall number of combat equipment owned.

In addition, there is also logistical support, attack capability, defense capability, and so on.

On the other hand, the US Navy currently holds the strongest position and equals Indonesia in terms of the number of naval units. The US has a more diverse mix of naval warfare units, unlike Indonesia which mostly consists of offshore patrol vessels.

The Indonesian Navy (Indonesian National Army-Police) have 209 units in its fleet, four submarines, and 30 units in its amphibious assault fleet.

However, Indonesian National Army-Police are also rumored to have ordered 11 new units: three submarines from South Korea, two mine warfare ships from Germany, four OPVs, and two missile boats from Poland.
