IBA is also involved in international initiatives, facilitating resource introduction for Indonesia's social development.

"We also maintain good relations with important international organizations, such as the Islamic economic community in Indonesia," said Shan Shan in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He mentioned that YPBDK has also received an invitation from the President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB) to participate in UNESCO's activities.

They will attend the international peace conference at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on October 21-23, 2024.

Shan Shan explained that during this occasion, they will discuss Indonesia's readiness to host the international peace conference in 2026.

Furthermore, details of participation in the International Peace Conference will be discussed during the WFB President's visit to Batam, Riau Islands, on March 12, 2024.

"Batam is being considered as the conference location in 2026 due to its strategic proximity to Singapore. The final decision will be announced after the meeting," Shan Shan remarked.

He stated that they would seize the opportunity to introduce plans for the development of a convention and exhibition center for the 38 provinces in Galang Batang, 30 kilometers from Bintan Island.

He mentioned that eleven regencies and cities have already signed cooperation agreements, and more than 50 regencies and cities have expressed their willingness to join the project.

Furthermore, he stated that the construction cost of the convention and exhibition center for the 38 provinces would be supported by the promotion of environmentally friendly life parks worth 3 billion Singapore dollars.

He mentioned that the convention and exhibition center would cover an area of approximately 8 hectares, with every two provinces jointly building exhibition space of 0.5 hectares.

He believes that all provinces in the country can showcase their resources, political achievements, cultures, or local characteristics, as well as regencies and cities, in the exhibition area.

"With the WFB annual conference inviting members from 40 countries, the development of the 38 provincial exhibition center in Bintan can be introduced as a business, cultural, and educational exchange hub for Indonesia and other countries in the future," Shan Shan explained.

Moreover, IBA plans to recruit senior professionals from Deloitte China's accounting office to provide consulting services for multinational companies operating in Indonesia.

They will assist in investment strategies, financing, talent, and digitalization.

"We will continue to introduce international industry experts, government officials, and academics through existing platforms," Shan Shan added.

He hopes that with the presence of the 38 provincial convention and exhibition center in Bintan, it will attract investors.

"It will enable investors, academics, and friends from all over the world to see Indonesia from that location," he concluded.
