Jakarta – Anindya Novyan Bakrie, the founder of the Bakrie Center Foundation (BCF) on Friday inaugurated the headquarters of BCF at Wisma Bakrie, a legendary building established by the late Achmad Bakrie in 1982.
The event was attended by BCF staff and participants of the Campus Leaders Program batch 8, known as TB Rangers and SDGs Heroes.
Bakrie, along with BCF CEO Jimmy Gani, motivated the 38 student participants of the program stationed in Jakarta.
In his remarks, Bakrie emphasized the BCF tagline, "Building Leaders," with the hope of fostering leaders who not only possess capabilities but also sensitivity to social, environmental, and educational issues.
"BCF has the tagline Building Leaders, which is expected to produce leaders. Leaders who are not only proficient in abilities, but also have sensitivity to social, environmental, and educational issues, are greatly needed for us to achieve Indonesia Emas in 2045," Bakrie explained on Friday.
On the same occasion, BCF CEO Jimmy Gani explained that TB Rangers and SDGs Heroes are individuals selected through rigorous selection processes.
This semester, BCF received 30 thousand enthusiastic applications for selection and finally selected 480 TB Rangers and SDG Heroes.
Gani hoped that this activity would increase motivation for participants of the Campus Leaders Program, especially batch 8, to contribute their best to Indonesia.
Established 14 years ago, BCF is the third-generation Bakrie family's effort to create inclusive education.
Through programs like the Bakrie Graduate Fellowship and Bakrie International Fellowship in collaboration with renowned universities, BCF has produced 480 masters with various expertise.
Since 2018, BCF has been focusing on enhancing the capacity of the younger generation through programs like the Leadership Experience & Development Program (LEAD Indonesia) and the Campus Leaders Program, with more than two thousand alumni being part of the Home of Leaders Alumni Association.
