Three Indonesian Crew Members Drowned in South Korea

South Korea – Three Indonesian citizens who were crew members of a fishing boat drowned in the South Yeosu Sea, South Korea. They were found dead on Sunday.

According to the Director of Protection of Indonesian Citizens and BHI of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, the search process is still being carried out by the Korean Coast Guard (KCG).

This search is to find five other crew members, consisting of four Indonesian citizens and one South Korean crew member.

"The Indonesian Embassy in Seoul has sent the Indonesian Citizen Protection Team to Tongyeong, about five hours by road from Seoul. The team is closely coordinating with KCG for the search process and SAE Tongyeong Hospital for the body handling process," Nugraha said through text message on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also managed to contact seven families of Indonesian citizens who were on the fishing boat to convey information about the search process and handling of bodies.
