Jakarta – One foreign national from Taiwan by the name of SHI YI (48) is still missing after the capsizing incident of KM Parikudus in the waters of Rambut Island, Thousand Islands, on Monday.
Thousand Islands Resort Police Chief Jarot Sungkowo said from the results of the survivors' information, the total number of passengers and crew members of KM Parikudus was 35 people.
"Based on reports, there are 35 people, 32 passengers, and 3 crew members who are victims," Sungkowo informed on Tuesday.
"Five Chinese nationals, four Taiwanese nationals, one Korean national, 22 Indonesians," he added.

Sungkowo said that of the 32 passengers, one of them, a foreign national from Taiwan, was still missing.
"31 passengers survived and one person has not been found on behalf of SHI YI (48) male citizen of Taiwan," he informed.
Earlier, he revealed that the KM Parikudus capsized in the waters of his region because it was hit by high waves accompanied by strong winds.
The ship capsized, with 33 people on board consisting of passengers and crew members.
"(The cause of the capsizing) waves and wind," he remarked.
After the incident, Sungkowo appealed to the people of DKI Jakarta to be careful of bad weather around the sea area.
"Strong winds accompanied by high waves are currently occurring in the water area," he concluded.
