Suzuki Showcases Its First EV Car eVX for Indonesian Market

Tangerang – Automaker from Japan, Suzuki introduced the eVX Electric Vehicle (EV) concept car for Indonesian market at 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
The Suzuki eVX made its global debut in Indiain early 2023, but only showed its exterior to the public.
Meanwhile in Indonesia, it becomes the third time Suzuki has showcased the EV Concept.
Minoru Amano, President Director of Suzuki Indomobil Sales (Suzuki Indonesia) said that his company was developing various carbon neutral solutions for the global automotive industry.
"Multi-pathway it Suzuki's global strategy in overcoming the current carbon neutrality issue, one is through the development of battery-based EV (BEV)," he said at ICE BSD, on last Wednesday (July 18).

He added, "As part of Suzuki's global strategy, we brought, showed, and introduced the eVX concept car to the Indonesian pulic, as a reference for Suzuki's future answer to the challenge of carbon neutrality,"
The eVX design looks very futuristic, with lots of sharp curves. Especially in the front, the bumper is upright, in line with the grill, and the front hood or bonnet protrudes,
The electric concept car has dimension of 4,300 millimeters in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height. In terms of size, it is the same as the SX4 S-Cross that has been sold in Indonesia, or 125 mm longer than the Vitara. Regarding the specifications,
Suzuki once provided an overview at the beginning of its appearance. The electricity-guzzling car is equipped with a 60 kWh battery, and can travel as far as 550 km from the results of the MIDC (Modified Indian Driving Cycle) India test.
Then, the electric motor, or dynamo, is not just one because the eVX relies on four-wheel drive. So it can be used for several road terrains, including semi off-road, not just in urban areas.
