VIVAnews - Malaysian Information, Communication and Culture Minister, Rais Yatim, today denied allegations including of rape over an Indonesian maid in 2007.
"I refute the allegations, whether they are about raping any individual four years ago or any other allegation raised by bloggers on the Internet or by any political entity," he said as quoted from a Malaysian media Bernama today, Jan 5.
He described the "wild allegations" against him of late in blog reports and by opposition political parties as heaps of libellious statements.
Therefore, Rais requested the Malaysian authorities to look into the case. "I state readily that any report by anyone so far related to this matter should be investigated under the country's laws," said Rais.
The senior politician said that he and the family are ready to cooperate with the authorities on an investigation.
The alleged molestation was published on an online news portal Harakah Daily which brought out information it gained through WikiLeaks.
