S Korean Investor to Set Up Factory in Papua

VIVAnews - South Korea-based company LG International Corp., teams up with PT Duta Firza to build a petrochemical facility in Tangguh, West Papua, which will be worth US$3 billion of investment. 

The Head of Agreement was signed today in South Korea. Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono also witnessed the signing process. 

"PT Duta Firza and LG International will form a JV company to realize the project," said DUta Firza CEO, Firlie Gandinduto, in a statement. 

Both parties have agreed to go partners in pre-planning, pre-feasibility study, and construction process. 

"The installation and commissioning of the petrochemical factory will be organized by JV company," said Firlie. 

The cornerstone of the facility will be laid in mid 2014.
