Natuna's Investment to Be Managed

VIVAnews - Investment management of the Natuna D Alpha Block will be authorized to a financial institution. This aims at assuring debtors-to-be.

"In the future, the investment management will mediate Natuna's investment fund. All money will be deposited there and is organized by the [institution]," he said on Wednesday, Feb 18.

It will ease state oil company Pertamina to acquire loans. If such an institution does not exist, Pertamina as the operator would be subject to high financing consequence. If an investment management is set up, there will be guarantor.

"It is the same method applied in Tangguh gas project. One of the investment manager is the Asian Development Bank," he said.

However, he said, the government, especially the Department of Finance, must approve the forming of such an institution.
