Astra's Profit Tumbles 17%

VIVAnews - Automotive giant PT Astra International Tbk added net profit in the first quarter of 2009 by Rp 1.88 trillion, a decrease by 17 percent compared to the same period of 2008.

Meanwhile, the company recorded net income of Rp 21.54 trillion.

The company's business income also fell by 16 percent from Rp 3.13 trillion to Rp 2.62 trillion. Its income per share tumbled by 17 percent to Rp 463.
