Bakrieland Granted Award

VIVAnews - The Indonesia Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) granted an award to Bakrieland Development Tbk. (ELTY) on good corporate governance (GCG) last week.

According to Bakrieland Development President Director Hiramsyah Sambudi Thaib, the award proves that the company is considered healthy and excellent.

"GCG has been one of the company's core programs," said Thaib in Jakarta on Sunday, May 3.

He added that the achievement has a significant meaning to the company in terms of benifiting all stake holders.

The award was bestowed by President Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Erry Firmansyah at the Bali Nirwana Resort and was also attended by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.

Bakrieland recorded Rp 1 trillion (US$94.51 million) sales by the end of 2008 or 30 percent higher compared to 2007. The company's equity reached Rp 4.5 trillion (US$425.34 million), among the largest in the property sector.
