VIVAnews - Bank Indonesia (BI) reproached the final thoughts conveyed by the House of Representatives Century Inquiry Team, which were presented on Tuesday, February 23.
“BI is regretting about how the views are ignoring facts on dimensional crisis that were the bases of BI and the government’s policies,” says BI’s official statement as read by BI Strategic Planning and Public Relations Directorate Director, Dyah N.K. Makhijani in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 24.
BI also regrets that the process of the investigation carried out by the team was overly focused on policies which made them failed to unravel the alleged fund flow, which is the initial purpose of the team.
The investigation on the allegation is the key to learn whether there is any good intention in the case-related policy making conducted by BI and the government.
BI believes that all of the policies regarding the case, from the merger to the bailout, were made on a good will and based on the best professional considerations.
“They were made by taking into account the applied legal principles.”
However, BI will be keeping up with the investigation on the case. If it proceeds to legal processes, BI is certain that they would be fair and putting forward the presumption of innocence before making the final conclusion.
