VIVAnews - Chief of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) will look over information shared in social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter in an effort to anticipate terrorism and subversive issues.
Following the plan, Coordinating Minister for Political, Justice, and Security Affairs, Djoko Suyanto, said in statement that the government pledges to hold supreme Human Rights.
According to Djoko, the monitoring is a preliminary act in intercepting crimes and other issues that are against the law.
"If networking sites are used against illicit matters, why worry?" Djoko told VIVAnews.
Earlier, Sutanto said BIN will closely oversee social networking sites if they are weighed as likely posing threats to state security.
