VIVAnews - Police freed a teenage girl from child trafficking, at the King Cross Hotel in Permata Kelapa Gading Complex, North Jakarta, Saturday, July 30, 2011.

"We received a report from the family, and immediately searched that location," said a police spokesperson, Adj. Senior Comm. K Sianipar. The girl named Eneng is now in the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of North Jakarta Police, for questioning.

According to Daniel, one of the relatives of the girl who was still sitting in the eighth grade, she disappears for six months. "She disappeared while going home from school," he said. The good-looking girl asked for help to be released from a hotel. The message which was sent via SMS received by Okta, her older brother.

Eneng lives at her relative’s house in the Harmony quarter, Central Jakarta. Both of her parents live in Cimahi, West Java. According to Okta, getting Eneng out of the hotel was difficult. Eneng initially was offered a job with a fairly decent income. But she was disappointed because the job was inappropriate.

"To stop working at the hotel, Eneng must pay compensation to the management Rp26 million," he said.

The family had come to a hotel several times but always failed to bring home Eneng. Eventually they filed a report to the North Jakarta Police. The action of liberating Eneng that lasted about an hour was arduous.
