VIVAnews - Scot Marciel, U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia, held talks with West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan at the official residence of the governor, Pakuan Building, Bandung, West Java, 15 September 2011, on the possibilities of future partnership in education and the economy.
"We are very grateful to the Governor for the meeting," said Marciel. "We talked about the developments in West Java and how we can further team up in education and business."
On the occasion, U.S. Ambassador showed the gesture of good will by granting Indonesian railway company PT KAI US$600,000 of fund that the U.S. Trade and Development Agency provided.
"The donation was aimed to finance the technical assistance programs, to support PT KAI’s development plan to meet the increasing demand for railway services," said Ahmad.
"The fund will be used to conduct studies on railway safety and efficacy," said Marciel.
