VIVAnews - Armed separatiss of Free Papua Movement (OPM), which is allegedly held responsible of the gunshot incident over Mulia Police Chief, Adj. Comm. Dominggus Otto Awes, is figured to have 60 members.
"Latest estimation shows the group claiming to have shot the police chief has 60 active members. They have in store six rifles and two small arms,” said Puncak Jaya Police Chief, Adj. Chief. Comm. Alex Korwa, today.
They acknowledged of being part of the Free Papua Movement’s National Liberation Army of West Papua.
Police are still chasing the perpetrators of the shooting. “We’re hunting them down,” he said.
Dominggus was shot to death by unidentified gunmen on Monday, Oct 24. Two culprits ambushed and released several shots, giving him fatal head injuries. The victim at the deadly moment was on duty at Mulia Airport, Papua.
