VIVAnews - The Justice and Prosperous Party (PKS) is taking any effort to approach for Head if Democratic Party's Board of Trustees Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Both parties are yet to decided whether or not they will make a collaboration in the coming presidential Elections.
"There is not yet any agreement signed. However, if Yudhoyono accepts Jusuf Kalla [as vice president], then we will reconsider the chance," said PKS Secretary General Anis Matta on Monday, April 13, upon seeing the possibility to continue the coalition with the Democratic Party, which has been built since 2004, if the Democratic Party is open for Golkar.
"Kalla stated that he had not been [part of the coalition anymore]. How come he would join [the coalition] once again," he said.
Matta viewed that Kalla's political stance was inconsistent and is not in line with the coalition's commitment.
"Kalla has been against Yudhoyono before the coalition ends. If he decides to join once again, what will be his commitment then?" he said.
PKS wishes for a reform, nationalistic and religious coalition. The reform period formed such an ideal coalition.
Matta claimed that one of the scenarios that PKS prepares if Kalla remains joining Yudhoyono is that the party will keep supporting the government without being involved in the government.
"We can be neither the government's opposing [party] nor [part of] its cabinet," he said. "We only want a consistent reform," he added.
