Ten Parties in Lombok Demanding Re-election

VIVAnews - Hundreds of sympathizers and cadres from ten different
political parties hailed the Central Lombok region House of
Representatives (DPRD) on Saturday, April 18, to demand a re-election.
The demonstration was triggered by several alleged violations in some
polling stations at two sub-districts in Central Lombok.

The mass who acted on behalf of the Central Lombok Revolution Movement suspected that there had been a political conspiracy committed by major parties. The demonstration coordinator Sudirman said that there had been data manipulation in many polling stations (TPS) at Pujut and East Peraya sub-district.

"There were 300 voters at TPS 4 Bilelado Pujut. But after the vote counting process was carried out, the vote number became 350," he told reporters.

The ten political parties were consisted of the Prosperous Justice Party
(PKS), United Development Party (PPP), the Indonesia Youth Party (PPI), the Indonesian Great Movement Party (Gerindra), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Nationhood Party (PDK), the Reform Star Party (PBR), the National People's Concern Party (PPRN), The National Sun Party (PMB). In addition to data manipulation, the public was also intimidated to vote for certain political party. There were in fact many people from several villages in two sub-districts who were not listed in the final list of voters.

The fraud had likely harmed the people in the two sub-districts. They
pointed out that the law enforcers, especially police, were not serious enough in monitoring the Elections. "During the vote counting at the polling stations, police did nothing. There was an Elections officer which
directed people to vote for a legislator candidate but the police
remains silent," stressed Sudirman.

He explained that all information of the frauds will be used as a basic
argument to file a lawsuit. On the other hand, the representatives of ten political parties discussed the fraud issue with the head of Central Lombok
DPRD.
