ADB's Meeting to Be Secure from Swine Flu

VIVAnews - The government vows that the coming Asian Development Bank (ADB) annual meeting on May 2-5 in Bali will be secure from the swine flu virus.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said that the government will provide extra measurements.

"Although the [swine flu] case is considered getting more serious, the number of the participants remains," she said in the parliamentary complex on Thursday, April 30. The monitoring equipment has been set up and if there is any detection, an immediate treatment will be provided.

Sri Mulyani said that the Indonesian government has yet received any announcement from WHO considering the swine flu level update until now. "There will be a travel warning if the virus has reached level 5," she explained.

Furthermore, she said that level 5 will restrict the citizens movement. "But until today, we have not received [announcement]," she added. The government has become more cautious for making sure the ADB meeting is safe.
