The Scream is one of four Edvard Munch paintings entitled Der Schrei der Natur. The Scream depicts a person who is gripped or experiencing anxiety, with the background of the horizon in the form of a red twilight.
The thing that makes it a bit spooky, some researchers believe the red twilight in the painting was seen after the eruption of Mount Krakatoa in 1883. In a note in his diary, Munch claimed to have been inspired by this painting while traveling.
"I was walking down a small street with two friends when the sun was setting and suddenly the sky turned blood red. I stopped, feeling tired, and leaned against the railing. anxious – and I felt an incessant scream running through nature".
Also, to make this painting even more sinister, the painter inscribed a small inscription at the top of the painting, which read "Only can be painted by Crazyman."
