VIVA – PT Dirgantara Indonesia is optimistic that countries that are members of the G20 forum will be interested in buying the Nurtanio-219 or N219 plane. Especially in the Belitung G20 Presidency Side Event on September 7 to 9, 2022, the N219 plane made by local young people will become a national icon in this meeting.
Production Director of PT Dirgantara Indonesia, Batara Silaban said that the G20 Development Ministerial meeting in Belitung was an opportunity to introduce the N219 aircraft to the world. So, the plane made by Indonesian young people can be purchased.
"We allow showing the N-219 at the G20. Many main person guests will see it firsthand. So, N-219 can add orders more quickly," Batara Silaban remarked in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
On the agenda, PT Dirgantara Indonesia had the opportunity to exhibit the aircraft made by the Indonesian Young People. So, prospective buyers can see directly the specifications offered.
"In the framework of the G20 Presidency side event in Belitung, the Nurtanio 219 aircraft as the work of the nation's children is presenting as a national icon product that will be exhibited to representatives of the Minister and guests who are present," Batara Silaban remarked.

According to Batara, one of the main activities at the side event of the G20 Presidency is the International Seminar on Aerospace Industry Development: Harnessing the Ecosystem of the Aerospace Industry in Indonesia. The event will take place at the Belitung Hotel Suite from September, 7 to 9, 2022.
"It includes a high-level panel agenda (ministerial session) and exhibitions with themes related to the aerospace industry ecosystem" Batara Silaban added.
The N219 aircraft was developed specifically to be able to operate in mountainous areas with the ability to short take-off landing on a runway that is less than 800 meters long and unpaved.
In the utilization of the N219 aircraft, it can be used with various configurations according to user needs. Both for transporting passengers, logistics, as well as medical evacuation and flying doctors.
"This plane is capable of flying for two hours, can carry as many as 19 passengers, and can carry cargo. So, this plane is very multipurpose and suitable for pioneering routes, one of them is in Bangka Belitung," Batara Silaban explained.
