LRT Jabodebek can cut travel time compared to using private vehicles.

Clearly, from Dukuh Atas Station to Harjamukti Cibubur is only 39 minutes. Then from Dukuh Atas Station to Jatimulya Station, East Bekasi for 43 minutes.

"This is faster than using a vehicle even through a toll road that can take about 2 hours. By using the LRT, it can cut the time by a third. This is a significant number,"

LRT Jabodebek is capable of carrying up to 500 thousand passengers per day. So if calculated by combining Jabodetabek KRL passengers, there will be 1.2 million passengers. In total, there will be 1.7 million passengers per day transported using the two mass transportation.

"We want to ensure that connectivity through mass transportation can be done better so that more and more people will switch to mass transportation. Riding the LRT can be cheaper, faster, no traffic jams, and pollution-free," the Minister explained.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ensures full support for the LRT Jabodebek. Because it will have an impact on improving congestion management in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Railways, Risal Wasal, said that 95.09% of preparations for the LRT Jabodebek construction have been carried out. Currently, only the calibration of the operating system remains.

"We are also conducting a series of trials to ensure the safety aspects are met so that the operating license can be issued soon. We hope that the process will run smoothly and on target so that people can immediately enjoy Jabodebek LRT services," Wasal said.

As for the operating license, it is targeted to be issued in July. That way, a soft launch can be carried out before commercial operations targeted for August 2023.
