Jakarta – The Indonesian Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, and Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Teten Masduki officially opened the Environment, Climate, Forestry and New Renewable Energy Festival or called as “LIKE” Festival at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno a few days ago.

"I appreciate the Ministry of Environment and Forestry for making the LIKE Festival. This is a joint momentum in addressing environmental issues that have happened," Pratikno said. 

Praktikno then invited business people who attended LIKE festival opening to save the environment and improve the community welfare.

Furthermore, Minister Praktikno, Minister Siti Nurbaya, and Minister Teten Masduki conducted a teleconference with environmental activists, namely waste bank managers in several places in Indonesia.

The waste bank managers enthusiastically dialogued and explained their activities in sorting waste and managing their waste banks. 

The LIKE Festival is not only a medium for promoting the work of the government together with the parties, but also a form of government appreciation for the work of the community as an effort to realize better environmental and forestry quality, climate change mitigation actions, and improve community welfare.

"The LIKE Festival is expected to be a collaborative and participatory momentum for the government, together with the community, academics, grassroots, groups, advocates, academics, NGOs, and the business world, to continue and improve work for Indonesia's economic progress," Pratikno stated. 

"As well as showing Indonesia's leading position in the global climate change mitigation agenda," he added. 

The LIKE Festival takes place on September 16-18, 2023. A total of 106 booths have been built and equipped with supporting facilities filled by parties from various sectors and various actors such as Ministries / Institutions, Local Governments, Business Actors, and of course the Community.
