Bali is on the 2023 World Overtourism Destinations List

Bali – Bali is on the list of tourist attractions for overtourism throughout January-November 2023 after the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council.

In fact, revenue is estimated to reach US$9.5 trillion in 2023, an increase of 95 percent from before the pandemic.

This increase has had a positive impact on businesses and the local economy, but it has also created problems such as noise, pollution, traffic and pressure on public resources.

Bali attracted the attention of foreign tourists with visits of more than 5.2 million people in January-26 December 2023, while domestic tourists reached more than 9.4 million visits, according to data from the Bali Tourism Office.
