BMW Indonesia Launches New Electric Sedan, Suitable for Business Players

Jakarta – BMW officially launched the 8th generation electric sedan, the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport, for the Indonesian market. This car is claimed to be suitable for business players.
The model offers a combination of dynamic performance, top-class comfort, and cutting-edge technology, marking a new era of sustainable mobility for BMW in Indonesia.
"BMW 5 Series is one of our most iconic models and a cornerstone of our sales in Indonesia," said President Director of BMW Group Indonesia, Ramesh Divyanathan, some time ago.
Divyanathan stated that the launch of the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport is a significant step in their commitment to providing innovative and environmentally friendly vehicle for customers.
"We believe this model will be an attractive choice for professionals and families looking for a sporty, sophisticated, and electric-powered business sedan," he continued.
The BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport is equipped with a fifth-generation eDrive electric motor, producing 340 hp and 430 Nm of torque.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour can be achieved in 6.0 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 200 kilometers per hour.
The high-voltage 81.2 kWh battery allows the car to travel up to 541 kilometers in the WLTP test cycle before needing to recharge.
The BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport comes with various advanced features, including the BMW Curved Display with 12.3-inch and 14.9-inch screens, BMW iDrive 8, Operating System 8, and Driving Assistant Professional.
The model also has a sporty and modern design with BMW's signature kidney grille, LED headlights and taillights, and 19-inch M Sport wheels.
During the introduction of the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport, BMW Indonesia has not yet announced its official price.
