VIVAnews – Jakarta Regional Police called on all police stations under its legal territory to supervise the entrance of poisoned food. This is because they identified a modus operandi of poisoning police officers by terrorist suspects who were captured in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
“Most probably someone put some liquid into the food. That is what must be watched,” said Public Relations Head of Jakarta Police, Chief Comm. Baharudin Djafar, today.
Baharudin said that the security was not yet increased. However, he confirmed that it has been done for long at the entrance of police stations. “The canteen keepers must also be alert. Especially to strangers. If the poison is liquid, a raid can be executed,” he said.
The police have arrested six terrorist suspects in Kemayoran quarter, Central Jakarta and Tambora, West Jakarta.
They were alleged to be a terrorist cell members who planned to attack police station as regards the ruling over convict Abu Bakar Ba’asyir scheduled on this Thursday, June 16. “However, it is not yet certain whether it is related to Ba’aysir’s verdict,” he said.
