VIVAnews - The Indonesian government has to take advantage of the Group 20 (G-20) Summit which will be held in April 2009. It should also be proactive in seeking solutions for the global crisis.

"It is remarkable that Indonesia can join the G-20. Indonesia must take advantage of it. President [Yudhoyono] has to attend the Summit even though the Elections is about to be held," Head of Indonesian Employers Association, Sofjan Wanandi, told VIVAnews on Thursday, Feb. 19.

During the meeting, Indonesia must take part in laying the foundations for solving the global crisis as well playing a role in seeking solutions . "For example, reforming the international monetary institution. We cannot let the  concepts of said institutions damage us and benefit only several countries. So we need to be proactive," said Wanandi.

Earlier, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani explained that as the chairperson of the G-20's Working Group Four she also chairs with France to reform such world development banks as the World Bank, ADB, Inter American Development Bank, and African Development Bank.
