VIVAnews - The nation's income per capita in 2010 was estimated to rise US$3,000 per year. According to Chief of the National Statistics Agency (BPS) Rusman Heriawan, the increase was based on two factors: economic growth at more than six percent; and the appreciation of rupiah.
"The economic growth in 2010 was most likely at around six percent, or perhaps more," Rusman told VIVAnews in Jakarta, Jan 4.
Rusman said the targeted growth in 2011 of 6.4 percent is possible. There is a chance that the economic growth can hit seven percent this year as long as infrastructure development, business climate, and global economy do not affect Indonesia negatively.
"We've already had strong capital in 2010. It's only a matter of how to manage it as well as paying attention to factors that may disturb growth," he said.
