Citibank: There'll Be No More Fraud

VIVAnews - Following the current fraud which was committed by one of Citibank's top-level employees in Indonesia, the bank ensures the public that better control will be applied in the future. "We apply a very tight control," said Citigroup Indonesia Country Business Manager, Tigor Siahaan, on Wednesday.

Earlier, the bank found out that one of the bank's managers, Malinda Dee, has committed fraud worth Rp 17 billion.

Tigor said the crime has only taken place at a Citibank branch in Jakarta.

Police are looking into the alleged fraud involving Malinda Dee. The suspect had dealt with customers from financial institutions.

Police have also arrested a bank teller initialed D, which was alleged of assisting Malinda in embezzling customers' funds.
