VIVA – The Government by the Ministry of Religious has officially set a quota for Indonesia Hajj in 1443 H/2022. On the official website of the Ministry of Religious, Minister of Religious Yaqut Cholil Qoumas said, this year Indonesia will get 100,051 quotas of hajj for 2022.
It was said by the Minister of Religion when he was at the Nuzulul Qur'an Commemoration at the State Level, in Jakarta. The pilgrims from Indonesia can perform this year’s hajj after the decision to depart for the pilgrimage of 1443 Hijriah/2022.
“We didn’t send hajj pilgrims during the past two years due to COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, our efforts and prayers bore fruit so that this year we can send 100,051 hajj pilgrims and 1,901 hajj officers,” the Minister said on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Hajj departures for the first batch will begin on June 4, 2022. The minister, Yaqut, called on all related sides to carefully prepare the implementation of hajj this year. Strength and thoroughness are necessary.
Previously, the government and the House of Representatives or locally known as (DPR) have set the cost of the 2022 hajj. Hajj travel (Bipih) paid by hajj pilgrims this year on the average of Rp39.89 million.
“Hajj travel cost (Bipih) or costs paid directly by hajj pilgrims—on average per pilgrim—is agreed at Rp39,886,009. It covers the costs of flight, accommodation in Mecca and Medina, living, and visa,” Yaqut said after attending a working meeting with Commission VIII of the House in Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 4, 2022.
Bipih is one of the components for the Hajj fee / BPIH. Another component of the 2022 Hajj/BPIH fee is the health protocol fee. This year, it was agreed that the health protocol fee was Rp.808,618.80 per hajj pilgrim.
The third component of the BPIH is the cost that comes from the agreed financial benefits of Hajj amounting to IDR 41,053,216.24 per pilgrim. So, the total cost of Hajj / BPIH in 2022 are agreed at Rp. 81,747,844.04 per pilgrim.
