3. Tekodeko
Tekodeko is a cafe that serves coffee and various snacks. Not only that, there is a large dining menu. The building is an old house that used to be an inn in the Old City Area.
As the name implies, Tekodeko, there are many ancient teapots placed on the wall as wall decorations. In addition to decoration, the manager also uses space such as a balcony to become a coffee shop which is the hallmark of buildings in the Old City.
Coffee is the main menu at this cafe. There are several standard menus, as well as some special menus. One of them is Javanese sugar coffee.
There are many kinds of coffee companion dishes here such as risoles, fried bananas, cassava, cakes, pastries, and others. This cafe is open from noon to midnight.
4. Pesta Keboen
The Pesta Keboen restaurant utilizes an old house that was built in 1950. Initially, it was a residence owned by Semarang residents with classical architecture.
Then over time, the building is neglected and damaged. Then, in the process, the building was owned by a resident and renovated into a restaurant.Â
The vintage impression is very thick once it enters the interior. The floor is made of classic cement tiles that are often used in palace family homes.
The tables and chairs are made of old Javanese furniture. Then there are lots of vintage knick-knacks. There are telephones, tv radios, and other old-fashioned electronics.
At each guest table and chair set, there are several jars containing traditional snacks such as cassava chips and pastries. There is also a fridge filled with old slices of ice cream or local people known as Es Krim Potong.
