VIVA – President Director and CEO of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) Anindya Novyan Bakrie and Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita meet to discuss the ecosystem of the electric vehicle to downstream policies carried out by the government.

"Together with my friend the Minister of Industry @agusgumiwangk discussed the creation of an electric vehicle ecosystem, which we started with electric buses," The chairman of the advisory board of the Indonesian chamber of commerce and industry, Anindya Bakrie said through his Instagram @anindyabakrie quoted on Friday.

The Bakrie business group has previously been an autoparts business player for more than 40 years through Bakrie Autoparts, said Anindya Bakrie. "Now through @vktr_indonesia, we are working to build an electric vehicle manufacturing industry to increase the Domestic Content Rate (TKDN),"

In addition, CEO Anindya Bakrie said he and Minister Kartasasmita also discussed government policies that support industrialization.

"The exciting discussion talked about various clean technology developments in the current energy transition. Where indeed Indonesia has a role and opportunity to become a leader in the Green Industrial Revolution!" he said.

In this meeting, it is also known, Anindya Bakrie gave a memorable souvenir in the form of a miniature prototype of the VKTR electric bus that has been used by PT Transjakarta which has been paving in Jakarta since last year. With that, Bakrie hopes that more regions will implement electric vehicles.

"So that the Net Zero Emission target can be achieved and Indonesia will become a world leader in the electric vehicle sector," Bakrie added.
