Over 113 Indonesian Pilgrim Paid-off Hajj’s Tuition Fee

Jakarta – The Indonesian government through the Religion Ministry has opened the payment of Hajj Travel Costs (Bipih) 1445 H/2024 M phase I since January 10 2024. To date, more than 113 thousand regular Hajj pilgrims have make payment.

"Step by step, Indonesian pilgrims are paying off the hajj fees. Now, there are 113,243 pilgrims who have paid," said Anna Hasbie, Ministry Spokesperson in Jakarta on Wednesday. 

Those who have paid their 2024 Hajj expenses consist of 101,645 pilgrims who were allocated this year's departure quota and 11,598 reserve quota pilgrims.

Before making the payment, prospective Hajj pilgrims must undergo an examination to meet the health istitha'ah requirements.

According to Hasbie, starting this year, Istitha'ah Health has become one of the requirements for congregations who are allocated departure quotas to pay off Bipih.

"To date, there are 168,457 congregants who have been checked and fulfilled the health istitha'ah requirements," she remarked. 

Prospective Hajj pilgrims who have carried out an examination and fulfilled the health istitha'ah requirements can immediately make Bipih payments.
