Jakarta – Jakarta will host the 2024 Asian Basketball League. The Central Board of the Indonesian Basketball Association (PP Perbasi) revealed that the preparation process is still ongoing.
The second round of the 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia will be held in Indonesia. Later, there will be four teams fighting for tickets to the next round on April 23 to 26, 2024.
"Preparations to host are already underway, but the location is still uncertain," said Secretary General of PP PBSI, Nirmala Dewi in a press conference in Jakarta.
Dewi said there are three venues on PP Perbasi's list, namely Indonesia Arena, Istora Senayan, and Britama Arena. So far, her party has not made a choice because it must harmonize the schedule first.

Possibly, the 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia is made into a series with the Indonesia Basketball League (IBL) because there are plans for the IBL to hold an All Star match.
"We will first adjust the schedule, but we have communicated each (location), including to the IBL, because they will have All Star activities," Dewi informed.
Jakarta is the choice of PP Perbasi and has been communicated to FIBA. There was a discourse to be held in another city, but in the end Jakarta was the one they chose.
"The venue is definitely Jakarta, there were talks in other cities, but we have decided in Jakarta and have communicated to FIBA,"
Indonesia sent two representatives to appear in the 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia, namely Pelita Jaya and Prawira Bandung. They will first compete in the first round held in Mongolia in early March 2024.
