VIVAnews – Semarang’s City Secretary as well as the suspect of Semarang’s Budget bribery, Ahmad Zaenuri, stated that several political parties in Semarang House of Representatives were to accept millions of rupiahs of “service” money.

This was revealed in Anti-Corruption Committee’s (KPK) questioning over five legislators and one political party leader in Semarang today, Jan 6. The examination was intended to study the flow of funds to political parties.  In the previous examination, it was revealed that the fund was intended as a down payment to the political parties.

Head of Semarang Finance and Asset Management Bureau (DPKAD), Yudi Mardiana, reported to Ahmad Zaenuri that he had prepared a total of Rp350 million contained in five envelopes. The names of the political parties and the allocated fund were written on each envelope.  He said that the Demokratic Party received the biggest amount of Rp 104 million because the party has the most chairs in Semarang House of Representatives.

“The cash was put on top of Yudi Mardiana’s table.  In the beginning, (the suspect, a member of Semarang House of Representatives) Agung PS, on behalf of his associates in the House of Representatives asked Rp10 million per member.  However, Yudi bargained to Rp8 million per member,” said Zaenuri.

The calculation then counted based on the political party’s chairs in Semarang House of Representatives.  Based on that calculation, Zaenuri said, the Democratic Party, which controls 13 chairs, received Rp 104 million, PAN (6 chairs) received Rp 48 million, Gerindra (6 chairs) received Rp 48 million, Golkar (5 chairs) received Rp 40 million.

Zaenuri said that PDIP was also targeted for the fund allocation worth Rp64 million because the party has 8 chairs in Semarang House of Representatives.  However, since the party leader is also a Deputy Mayor of Semarang, the fund was not channeled directly to him.

The fund was intended as service money because Semarang Budget Committee has approved KUA PPAS.  The total of Rp350 million prepared by Yudi Mardiana was considered loans from Bina Marga Bureau of Rp150 million, and Water Resource Management Bureau of Rp200 million.

The loan, said Zaenuri, was distributed to each party leader to be distributed to their own cadres who hold offices in Semarang House of Representatives.  Meanwhile, KPK spokesman, Johan Budi confirmed that KPK will continue summoning and examining anyone suspected to have knowledge about this bribery case.
