Adipala Project May Be Offered to Private

VIVAnews - Steam power plant Adipala with a capacity of 625 Megawatts which is included in the 10,000 MW project has yet to receive any funding. Therefore the state electricity company (PLN) is planning to offer Adipala to private companies.

PLN President Director Fahmi Mochtar said the power plant is going to apply the newest technology, which is expected to attract investors. "We're having problem to get the fund, so this [project] can go to private companies," he said in Jakarta on Friday, April 24.

Other power plants included in the same project, such as a project in Riau with a capacity of 2x7 MW, have been discussed with the local authority. "They are willing to fund the project," he said.

If all goes well, the remaining unfunded power plant will only be the West Kalimantan's.
