VIVA – Elon Musk, who now officially owns Twitter, will increase the cost of Twitter Blue subscription. Previously, it cost customers US$4.99 per month or Rp77 thousand to US$ 19.99 or Rp311 thousand.
According to The Verge's page, Monday, October 31, 2022, under the current plan, verified users must subscribe for 90 days or lose their verified account.
Employees working on the project were notified on Sunday that they would have to meet a November 7, deadline to roll out the feature or be fired.

Despite only closing the deal on October 28, Musk has already made moves, including changing the homepage to the Explore page for logged-out users.
There are also reports that the owner of Tesla and SpaceX is planning on cutting up to or over 5,000 jobs in a move "aimed at middle managers and engineers who haven’t recently contributed to the code base."
Twitter currently makes most of its money from advertising, but these changes and more are part of Musk's plans to make subscriptions at least "half of the company's overall revenue."
The Twitter Blue subscription was widely launched nearly a year ago as a way to view ad-free articles from multiple publishers and make other adjustments to the app, such as a different colored home screen icon.
In recent quarters Twitter has reported revenue as a publicly traded company following the debut of the special feature where advertising remains the bulk of its revenue. Musk is interested in increasing subscriptions to half of the company's overall revenue.
