In the Holy Quran Allah SWT says: “Indeed, We revealed [the Qur’an] during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” (97:1-5)

From the verse, it is known that on the night of Laylatul Qadar, Allah SWT sent his angels to descend to earth, one of the angels was Jibril who was assigned to manage all affairs. So, in this case, the scholars conclude that whoever asks Allah, it is impossible for his prayer not to be answered.

Considering the many virtues of that night, then when does Laylatul Qadr come?

The exact date of Laylatul Qadr is not known, but it is believed to occur during one of the odd-numbered nights in the last ten days of the Islamic month of Ramadhan. This means it could fall on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th.

The Prophet Muhammad encouraged his followers to seek out the night of Laylatul Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadhan and to engage in worship and supplication during that time. Muslim people prefer to stay in the mosque during these last ten nights of Ramadhan to increase their chances of catching the night of Laylatul Qadr, while others may increase their worship and supplication during this time.
