VIVA – Rowing athlete from Depok City, West Java, Rudiansyah successfully won a gold medal at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games from the Traditional Boat Race - Men's TBR 12 Crew U24 250 meters.
"Congratulations to young athlete Rudiansyah for winning the gold medal in rowing at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games," said Depok City Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Herry Suprianto in Depok, on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Head Coach of the Indonesian Rowing Sports Association Depok Roni Lismanto admitted that he was grateful for Rudiansyah's achievement.
Since training Rudiansyah, Lismanto assessed that the young athlete has the talent and fighting spirit to be better.
"It is proven that he has won silver, gold, and bronze medals in several championships since 2018 until now, both at the provincial, national, and international levels," he said.

Lismanto is also confident that Rudiansyah can win gold medals at international events because he has steady confidence, "Because of the gold medal at Porprov and the gold medal at national championship in the same year, 2022, Rudiansyah feels more confident looking at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games,"
"Rudiansyah's age is still quite young, so the motivation given to Rudiansyah is the best for himself, his family, Depok City, West Java and for Indonesia." he added.
"(Indeed) he aspires to become a national and even international athlete who can make his family and those who have helped his success happy," Lismanto stated.
In preparation for the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games, Rudiansyah participated in national training at the SEA Games training center at Jatiluhur Reservoir, Purwakarta, West Java.
Previously, there is an athlete also from Depok City, Rikki Martin Simbolon successfully won a gold medal at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games.
Rikki Martin Simbolon is an athlete from Depok City who won a gold medal in the 10,000 meter athletics branch with a record time of 31 minutes 8.85 seconds.
