Lake Toba Circuit Becomes Favorite for the F1 Powerboat Winner

VIVA – Stromoy Racing racer Bartek Marszalek came out as the first winner of the F1 Powerboat World Championship (F1H20) on Lake Toba, Muliaraja Napitupulu Port area, Balige, North Sumatra on Sunday.

Bartek Marszalek gave his opinion about playing for the first time at F1H2O Lake Toba 2023. He revealed the impression of playing in the largest lake in Southeast Asia, and he feels amazed at its natural beauty.

"Then, the audience provided an atmosphere that made my spirit increase," Marszalek said in a press conference session at the Lake Toba 2023 F1H2O venue, in Balige, Toba Regency, on Sunday evening.

In the record time, Marszalek won with a time of 01:02.23. He became champion after racer Shaun Torrente was hit with a one-lap penalty.

He said the circuit on Lake Toba, has its characteristics to be tested in this speed boat motor racing world championship, "(It’s) very, very tricky,"

Marszalek also expressed admiration for the circuit on Lake Toba. Even from the beginning of the free practice session, he has been challenged. He admitted that he wanted to return to compete if one day F1 Powerboat was held again on the largest volcanic lake in the world.

"My favorite water circuit characteristic in the world is Lake Toba," said the man born in Warsaw on September 9, 1983.

Furthermore, the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, directly handed over the first-place trophy to Bartek Marszalek, then Coordinating Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan handed over the second-place trophy to Sami Selio and then the Minister Zainuddin Amali trophy to third place, Erik Stark.
