Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the learning education has no age limit, and time. This is considered to be able to change person life for the better.

"We agree that learning education has no time, no age limit, and can be done anywhere and anytime. For that reason, lifelong learning is a reality, not just a narrative or an ideal," The President said at an international conference with UIL (The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning) online, on Wednesday.

The head of state also said that in 2030, Indonesia will get a demographic bonus, where the composition of productive age becomes very large.

Demographic bonus only happens once in a country's civilization. According to him, it can be an opportunity, as well as a disaster if the Government cannot manage it well.

"To answer these challenges, we initiated the Pre-Employment training program that utilizes technological advantages. The solution to accelerate skill improvement is lifelong learning, as it can be followed by anyone without restrictions," he remarked.

On the same occasion, managing the demographic bonus certainly requires cooperation from various parties, the government cannot work alone.

In order to accelerate the quality of human resources, all parties must also be able to convince the younger generation, especially Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha, to become lifelong learners.

"(Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha can) become lifelong learners so that their quality of life improves and become the driving force for the progress of society, nation and state," the President concluded.
