VIVA – Audy Uwais or to be known as Audy Item, finnaly comeback to music industry. In 2017, she released an album and also had a featuring with Virgoun. Now, she has come back with a song composed Dodo Zakaria’s song titled Tobat.
“Almost five years, I took a break from singing because I had to focus on taking care of my family. After everything is safe and settled, I just want to sing again. Then, I got offered by Eventori to record again. Eventory also convinced me, so I want to record and release this Tobat song,” said Audy.
The Tobat song was popularized by the legend, Chrisye. Audy brings it back with a different arrangement. Although one of the legendary singers in Indonesia ever sang this song, Audy did not find any significance for singing it back.
“For the process of recording this song Tobat, she did not have much difficulty. She explores a lot of note by note so it is very fitting to be re-sung by Audy. The song "Tobat" fits very well with the atmosphere of Ramadan this time and became one of the religious songs of choice, besides songs of another Indonesian singer's religious song," said Ivan Edbert as Business Manager of VID (Indonesia Validation and Distribution) Eventori.

The song Tobat tells of a person's dark journey to the point where their find a way to return to the right path.
"It fits perfectly with the current Ramadan atmosphere. And, when I recorded it, I really enjoyed the lyrics of this song, which turned out to be sufficient in terms of the meaning of the song's lyrics," said Audy excitedly.
A young musician, Ray Prasetya will do the arrangement for this song. In Ray's hands, the song "Tobat" looks so modern, fresh, and up to date. Ray also gives a touch of strings, so this music sounds amazing with a strong combination of lyrics. Hope, “Tobat” song will be accepted by young people or called millennials without forgetting the Audy Fans.
"Many people don't even know this song, they only know other songs. I'm interested, the song is really good, and the lyrics are touching. The music is very sweet and the lyrics are dark," said Audy.
Using the VID (Indonesia Validation and Distribution) song license program by Eventori, Audy released this song as a path to the next music project, the new album. Audy surely can give her own color to Indonesian music again.
